The Thai Mookambika temple started in 2007. The main goddess is Mookambika and her elder sister is Saraswati. Apart from that, the temple is constructed entirely of stone. All the god's statues are made of stone. However, the statue of Lord Ayyappa is made from Aimpon. The temple has been a powerful holy place since 100 years ago. Besides this, Annadhanam is offered twice a day and Neivedhyam is given twice as well. The temple is a source of positive energy and fulfils the wishes in people's hearts.

Monthly Workships


At Mookambika temple, you can show your devotion through offerings, seek blessings, and enhance your spiritual life. Abhishekam, Alangaram is performed and Neivedhyam is offered during all the worships. These are then followed by special pujas.

Theipirai Ashtami img

This worship is done for Lord Kala bhairavar. It helps you attain prosperity and clear the barriers in your life.

Ammavasai img

The offerings are done to Lord Shiva and Thai Mookambika. On this day, worship is done to dispel negative energy.

Pournami img

On the full moon, this puja is done for Lord Shiva and Thai Mookambika.. This allows you to gain spiritual awareness.

Pradhosam img

During this time, offerings are made for Lord Nandhi and Shivan. As a result, positivity is brought into your life.

Rituals and Offerings


Abhishekam, Alangaram, Neivedhyam, and Nithya puja are done during the timings 4 am to 7 am and 4 pm to 7 pm. These offerings are made every day to honour the goddess and the devotees can connect with the deity during these times.


Offerings to Thaai

Suprabhadam is first said to wake the goddess up. Then the lamp is lit, and Abishekam is done with paal and thayir. After this, the goddess is dressed in a pattu saree and adorned with flowers. Neivedhyam is then offered, and the ritual is then completed with deeparadharanai.


Abhishekam


Paal, thayir, manjal, kazhabam, santhanam, kunkumam, and thiruneer are offered to energise the Goddess Thai Mookambika and show devotion.




Neivedhyam


Fruits, venn sadham, pongal, aravanai, etc. are prepared with care and then offered to the Goddess Thai Mookambika before eating it.




Nithya Pooja


Mantra is chanting while offering Neivedhyam. Deeparadharanai is then done. This is performed to show gratitude to the Goddess Thai Mookambika.





Event Offerings

Yearly worships are done on the commonly celebrated functions like Pongal, Thai Ammavasi, Vinayagar chadhurthi, etc. The offerings are given on these events to show the devotees’ respect towards the deity and to get closer to the goddess. The presence of the goddess is acknowledged, and her blessings are sought.

There were ceremonies recently held in the Mookambika Temple to introduce children to education, carry out a pilgrimage and ward off negative energy.

Vidyarambh

09:30am - 12pm

On 24th October 2023, this ceremony was done to initiate a child’s journey towards learning and bring their focus towards educational goals.

Irumudi kettu

09:30am - 12pm

On 3rd January 2024, Irumudi kettu went on. Padi puja and Aravana prasadam were conducted. Then the coconuts were filled with ghee and the Ayyappa devotees carried them to Sabarimalai.

Thiru Karthigai

06pm - 8pm

On November 26th, 2023, hundreds of lamps were lit and Kozhukattai prasadam was kept. Devotees then prayed for the prosperity of their families.
